Method: Iterating my old concepts for my character design

Response: Because the character for my 2d game is placed in a futuristic world (while traditional culture still exists), my main character (the shooter) is a military soldier wields ancient monster powers. The old design that I have was only designs and were not definitive in term of how practical he is in the field. So, my attempt of iterating him is to how his abilities apply and how his appearance is relevant to his world. First of all is I’ve change his head band, the Oni’s eye, with larger horns so to make him look fiercer and making others to be more pay attention to the equipment (since it is something that is quite important in the near future of the world in the game). I have changed his belt and inner suit with a bit of futuristic vinyl to look more tactical and placing the stun grenade on the belt for easy access. I kept the trousers with the old design since it’s relevant to soldier’s uniform (kept a bit of traditional). The back I want to design a thing to hold the satellites, however, I still have no idea what the satellites would look like so I’m holding this part (there would be something for the final design).
