Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

In response this week's theme of CPS: Character, Environment, and Events, I created a short 3D animation of a camouflaging alien trapped in a glass prison.

I used the alien as the character, the glass prison as the environment, and the alien camouflaging in the glass prison as the events. I used Blender 3D to create the whole model of the prison as well as the animation, though I used a pre-made free alien 3d model from Adobe Mixamo and import the .fbx file to blender. The process of creating the camouflage was as simple as changing the model's texture into a glass. Keyframing the IOR from 1.52 (water) to 1.00 (air)  to create the process of its disappearance.

The room was inspired by the film Ex Machina by Alex Garland.
