Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

For week four I created a mini prototype in Unity exploring the idea of character and place being inseparatable, and how the environment can dispense narrative. By moving the player to a specific location in the gamespace, a shape is revealed in the tree branches, which then shows the image of two people hugging.

This was intended to represent a memory of the player and show that that location was potentially significant in the relationship they had with the other person.

I took some inspiration from games such as Horizon Zero Dawn and the vantage points, as well as optical illsion art installations by artists such as Marko Bolkovic.
