Context:

Three salmon slices in a hot spring

A reference of hot springs and sashimi:

Method:

As I have a lot of passion of food, I used food as the theme and present a little story by persnating food.
 

Response:

The reason for choosing sashimi and hot springs is that when people think of sashimi, the first idea is cold. And  I want to combine two objects that people cannot expect.  If I combine sashimi with hot elements, I believe it wil has a engaging result to audiences.  According to  the facial expressions of sashimi, which shows that they are enjoying  in the hot springs.

At the beginning of designing this picture, I decided to let the sashimi suffer in the hot springs, as sashimi  is usually in the refrigerator and does not like the hot environment. However the final result makes people look strange. As a result I modified the expression of sashimi, from pain to enjoyment, and I was satisfied with the result of this contrast.

As the design of the hot spring, the color of the soy sauce is used as the water of hot springs, and using of wasabi  as a metaphor for a mountain. The design of the bowl also incorporates the Japanese style.
