Theme

I think Tinkering is the foundation of ideas; a place where an artist can explore techniques; a designer can design something that has never seen before; an inventor's tool; a scientist's playground; or in my case Unity for a guy who has zero experience with it but only a vision.

Context

I was inspired by a level in Inside, where the player needs to control zombie-like figures and move them to trigger the doors to the next level. In a nutshell, taking 'movement' as a mechanic to create the puzzle.

Found this tutorial that helped me to learn the basics and tinkering with the same concept by adding Rigidbody, which is a cool feature in Unity.

Method

The idea of the game is very simple. Drop both the boxes into the pit using the arrow keys on the keyboard, but the only catch is, one box has the inverted movement and the other box weighs less. Which forms a question in the player's mind, who is the right one?

Response

Well I managed to build a simple level where the player can interact with the boxes, also figured out the mechanics, but somehow they were not dropping by themselves in the pit even though I tweaked the 'gravity'. A small step, but a big achievement for someone inexperienced.
