Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

In response to the theme of Found Objects, I made a video of various incorrect uses of a set of keys using my iPhone camera and Premiere.

By playing around with key uses and generally being silly I showed that many objects can be used in multiple ways- something we might need to think about during quarantine lockdown!

I found myself overthinking this project for a while, but then once I considered the musical possibilities I quickly got the ball rolling. This is the second time out of the three weeks of classes that I've spent a lot of time thinking about sound.

As the process went on I realised I was thinking a lot about these videos I've been watching made by someone named Pupsi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8HtwVtmrWc
Pupsi plays covers of pop songs using instruments they have made out of fruit and vegetables. They display a high level of skill in both making instruments and sound mixing, as well as a good sense of fun. Ultimately, Pupsi's work is inspiring; it encourages the viewer to make things, to explore our worlds with a curious eye, rather than taking things for granted. I definitely want this sense of wonder and excitement to come from my work too.
