In response to the theme of Found Objects. I made clothes for a puppet using the found object: tracing paper.

I used to enjoy decorating my dolls with beautiful clothes when I was young. To recall an experience of childishness, I used my found object, a scroll of tracing paper to make clothes for the puppet. Tracing paper was often used during my undergraduate level one studies for the architecture courses. But after I changed my major, it became useless and idled. Thus, it's also an exploration of 'trash to treasure. I created corsets, top hats, bustles, and petticoats for an imagined young, pure and elegant female from the early 19th century in Europe, I expressed men’s aesthetics, and requirements on women in the past should be slim and conventional. As females were still passive and in low status at that time, and that was why I chose to put clothes on a puppet to show they're under control without freedom.

Similar work has been produced by Ono Karya (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YOzLLLKCn4) that uses newspapers to create fashion and beautiful dresses for a model.
