[CPS] Week 2 - Tinkering

In response to the theme of Tinkering, I made a series of facial tracking masks and filters that demonstrates potential diverse personalities for audience to pick using TouchDesigner and Photoshop.

By designing various masks for human face, I showed drawing skills on Photoshop; Also, I emphasized the concept that many artists hold crazy ideas and wildest dreams in their works rather than behaving them to the public. This could be the opportunity for the audience to visually guess artists’ personalities, which could also be an interesting way to look at the artists whom we usually see on screen.

The collage style is inspired by Andy Warhol’s Pop Art - Marlin Diptych (1962). Similar work has been produced by The Interactive & Immersive HQ, that the Youtuber did a meme generator using facial tracking. Also, my idea is inspired by Muhammad XAchraf, the Youtuber who extends the Dafoe performance to a broader imagination, which is unexpectedly coherent.
