CPs Week 2 Tinkering - Green Scene

In response to this week's theme of tinkering, I made a small environmental scene with some frog creatures using Blender. My initial idea was to use tools and shapes I hadn't explored before to create an environment. This is very different from my usual process, as usually I use lots of references and sketches before I create a full scene. Hence, I was hoping by exploring this method I'd discover new tools, methods and have fun making something from scratch. This process also made me become more familiar with laying out a 3D scene, various features of the program and was a fun excercise in developing shapes. A similar playful process is followed by animator Jonni Phillips, who creates loose 2d animations in a short amount of time without any plan. It is interesting and refreshing to see this approach to animation, as usually there are layers of planning to the medium.
