CPS - Week 1 - Observation Afternoon

I chose this plug that I saw off the corner of my eye the turquoise colour was nice shade it really brings out the 3d shapes that form it, the rhythm in the it the object reflects its use as an appliance for connecting your mouse to its socket.

I’m trying to imagine what’s behind the turquoise shell here are some things I noticed about it.

Symbols: icons, letters and numbers, name of the company that owns the attachment

Material: Plastic, clay, aluminium, metal

Touch

Texture: smooth, solid, prickly, soft edges

Emotional

Satisfied, comfortable, firm, balanced, concise ,relaxed, playful,

Smell

No smell or odours

Taste

No taste or flavour

I did these sketches of some creature inside of the plug being the one to connect the plug with whoever is plugging in a usb
