In response to the theme of observation, I made produced a simulation of ooze dripping down into a container, the container and an object hidden inside it are only revealed once the ooze has completely covered over them. I created this project using the program Houdini, in particular its liquid FlipSolver.

By creating and simulating this project I showed that it is possible for an object to remain recognisable even after the only thing being displayed is its inverse space that the liquid it contains takes up.

Similar work has been produced by Moby Motion, whose work "Beautiful Fluid Simulations" explores this theme by representing fluid simulations in minimalistic form, often at times completely removing any visual element of the container until it is revealed through the liquids physical interaction with it.
