APD-week3-Play and object -Xingfan Hu

Theme

• In response to the theme Play and Object, I created a stop-motion animation with that. I used paper cutting and daily necessities to make scenes and characters. The story is about a little Halloween girl who enters a house by mistake and is captured by a monster.

Method

I used paper-cut to make my characters and backgrounds, such as the sky house and the interior of the house. Then I made pumpkin heads with orange peel and made snow and monsters with clay. Use candy as animals. This stop motion animation is made by combining flashlight lighting and iPad shooting

Context

At present, paper-cut animation rarely appears in the fixed frame animation videos, but I think it is only a unique animation, just like the original animation Hulu brothers created by Shanghai fine arts film studio from 1985 to 1987. Reflection

• This is an interesting stop motion animation for paper-cut and waste utilization. I think paper-cut animation is an animation with obvious style and artistry. And Imagine a creative story about how to set characters on objects.
• I could have done better. I can use steel wire to make street lamps and wood to make furniture. There are many ideas to try objects as drawing on them might be too “cheesy” and could be one of the APD banned lists.
