CONTEXT

Under the skin, What inside of myself?

I want to use this idea to develop my first APD practice.

Initially, I was inspired by the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. He is best known for creating portrait heads made entirely of objects such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books.  

Then, Felicia Chiao (https://feliciachiao.tumblr.com/), a full of imagination illustrator I found. There always one character in her works and she uses herself as a container of expression. The function of the body is more than just the body. The characters under her brush can be opened and closed, can be filled, and can be withdrawn. I like the way to express myself as a perspective.

METHOD

I use hand-painted methods to express myself under the skin. What I analyzed and understood that I am vivid inside, like the stars and the sea, and there are some creatures in my body.

Some understandings are naive. For example, my hyperactivity may be caused by a big octopus expanding and wandering around, and a pig in my stomach, always in a state of gluttony.

RESPONSE

In the process of drawing, I did not think about the exquisite structure to make the picture harmonious. It is a state of tinkering, constantly adding things to my inner world. I think this practice should be a self-portrait. During the process, I just set a rule —— What kind of the creatures under my skin？
