Play and Abstraction
CONTEXT
Abstraction is hard to explain, I thought it is something people cannot understand but feeling. When I saw abstraction things, panting, animation, music, I have a feeling like I don't know what is this, but I can feel something same with the person who created this. This week I got inspiration from ABC in Sound which created by Laszlo Moholoy-Naly. This work use abstraction animation to explain an abstraction sound. The sound waves visible and the visible is into the sound. I also has inspired by metamorphosis animations that made by Jonathan, these works are abstraction works and really fluent, I cannot understand what he wants to explain by these works, but I still can feel something from them. So I decided to mix these two inspirations together.
METHOD
I find a music stochastic and choose a part of it to made a circle metamorphosis animation use Procreate.
RESPONSE
This weeks work of APD is kind like a little practice of my studio work. I also use metamorphosis animation in my studio project . In this weeks work the sound waves visible and the visible is into the sound just like Laszlo’s work, the difference is the visible I made is more fluent, cause the sound I used is music, music is fluent than sound that Laszlo used. Metamorphosis animation is one of the best ways to explain what is in MIND. Mind is an abstraction thing, it is not an object, not representational, it is in your soul. We can feeling it in words, languages, painting, music, we can explain to others people, but we cannot touch. All the abstraction things cannot explain by words distinctly, but we can have feeling that same with creator by creation distinctly. That is the charm of abstraction.
