Advance Play Design Week 5
Theme: Play and Force

Context:
I decided to make a game for this week's theme like before, but I do not have any devices that can transfer any force or strange type of input into computer. So I started thinking about how to express Force with only mouse and keyboard. Unfortunatly neither the mouse and keyboard do not have a funcion of evaluate force. But I realized the keyboard have many keys and I can also record the time I pressed the keys. Then the idea of simulate the force by area (number of keys press at the same time) and time came into my mind. The game is a rough simulator of a well-knowned arcade game called High Striker, which is a machine with a hammer and a meter, the player use the hammer to hit on the sensor on the machine, higher force will got higher score.

Method:
Unity 2020.1.0b1

Response:
I tried to search for some images of the high striker machine and use them in my game. But I didn't find a appropriate one. So I tried to make it myself. I tried to draw one but it is too hard... So I decided to make one with basic shapes provided by Unity. It looks better than my drawing...

Reflection:
I thought this game will be simple at the beginning so I didn't made a plan before started coding. As a result, the logic was very chaotic. When I wanted to add main game loop after testing the basic functions, I struggled with too many bool as switched. I waste an hour to try to fixed it and I gave up, rewrite almost the whole code to fix bugs. I learnt a lot after that, I won't make a game without a plan anymore.

Game Introduction:
Press more keys in shorter time lead to higher score.
Time is between the time you press the first key and the first time you released all the keys.

Note:
Your computer might have much more combining shortcuts as you thought, please be careful when you play this game. I do not hold responsible if you broke your computer or keyboard by playing this game. LOL
