Theme:

Play & Tinkering

Context:

Ani*kuri15 is a series of fifteen 1 minute shorts that aired on the Japanese TV station, NHK, between May 2007 and 2008. Each short was directed by a different director and the episodes were collected and uploaded to the official Ani*Kuri15 website in 2008. The title of the collection, Ani*Kuri15, is abbreviated from the words "anime" and "creators".

Method:

I will create a blank canvas in TVpaint and draw the pose that I first reflected in my mind. Then I complete this pose and draw the character with a slight movement. Finally, I will record the entire production process and create a video.

Reflection:

Through this week's practice, I realized that the result of the story is not as important as the process of the story. This week I worked on the storyboard. I struggled with the story for a long time and never got a good solution. Tinkering is more like a process for the production to learn. In this exercise, I started without thinking. Start with a random stickman. His basic shape is like running, which reflects my current state. Running can be morning running, competition, or being chased. Officially, because there is no destination, there is enough time for thinking. I recorded the process of painting and made it into a short film.
