APD_Week 10 Stillness

Method:

I listened to the music "Johann Sebastian Bach Brandenburg Concerto 4 BWV 1049 First movement, Allegro", drawing the part of its the rhythm. Then I used some daily stuff to make up my drawing. After that, I recorded a video of it with this music.

Context：

The Chemical Brothers recorded this video, the artist drew followed the music, it was a kind of graphic notation. And he used objects to combine the rhythm of the music.

Response：

Week 10's theme was stillness and my own plan was to do the research about the combination of sound, animation and live action. It made me think about the Chemical Brothers' exercise. In the 7:22s of his video, the stillness objects match very well with the sound. He realized that with the movement of the camera lens. I used this as the reference for this special exercise, to find out how to use real objects to match music. It was quite interesting, giving me a new perspective that the real objects can represent the sound symbols. The shape, number,density, color, size and so on of the object can affect the visual auditory feeling, even they are stillnes.
