Simple Sequencer made in unity

THEME: Play and Sound

CONTEXT:

Inspired by music creation software such as cakewalk by Bandlab as well as music Rhythm games like Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy I wanted to be able to a simple sequencer that the user could very easily change certain elements in order to change the way that the sounds play.

The idea was based around the notion of Harmonic Rhythms as described by Scruffy in the video Harmonic Rhythms in Sonic the Hedgehog ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vjj0aA933_s.)

METHOD:

Within unity I created a timing system that allowed sound to be play on beats . As the tempo of music ( mesaured in Beats per minute) is based on a clock speed I could  use Unity internal clock timings to set up system to mark beats.

Sounds created in Cakewalk cold then be imported and played back based on the user input settings

RESPONSE:

The end response is a music sequencer that allows the user to play with timings a beats to create simple sounds in

REFLETCTION:

While it was an interesting reflection it would have been nice to include in the final product a more visual feedback aspect to the work. Originally I was thinking of including something to this experiment here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ9hYmeMa18

However due to the time it took to create the music playing system in the end the audio visualization was put to the side to make sure that the sequencer worked without
