For this week's Animated Narrative, I joined the group 4 and I think our group work performs a good story and characters. So, I really want to create some actions for our protagonist—penguins.
Group 4: "A penguin wants a vacation in a desert"
We see a ship labelled "Arctic to Africa" in the middle of the dark ocean. We hear the waves of the ocean hitting the bottom of the ship. We can hear human footsteps outside on the deck and a group of penguins hiding in the deck. When the sun rises, the ship stops in a port, we see 'Welcome To Africa" written on aboard. The deck opens and the group of penguins rush past the human to the shore. The penguins look around and see a bunch of humans chasing them. They jump in horror and runs towards the beach. We can see them sweat due to the heat and exhaustion, which turns their fur into the shape of the wind.
--Team version
A wide blue ocean. We see a see a ship ploughing through waves. The waves slap against the prow of the ship, we see Arctic to Africa painted on the ships side. We see feet moving around on the deck and hear the click clack of footsteps. We hear shuffling and pattering. Hiding under the deckchairs are huddles of penguins. They whisper excitedly.
-- Kate version
The ship approaches a wide, sandy coast. We see a sign saying 'Welcome to Africa'. The penguins rush out from under the deckchairs and swirl around the human's feet, tripping them and pushing at their legs. The Penguins swirl down the gang plank and onto the shore.
At first, I sketched some moments for this penguins action. Such as, they hid in a warehouse under the ship's deck with their backpacks fantasizing about their impending destination. There are also sneaks sneaking into the ship to avoid humans. They walk along the perimeter of the ship, full of challenges and risks Also, they are exciting when they arrived at the destination and slide to the sand. etc.
