Background

This flowchart is for a game idea called Zombie Attack. It is set in a world where zombies have taken over the city and reside at various locations in the city. They are all gathered in different parts of the city and are looking for humans to kill, eat and make their own. The idea of the game is, the player has to go around the city looking for zombie’s nests, killing the zombies, destroying the nest and helping and rescuing citizens of the city. When the player encounters a zombie’s nest, a group of zombies will start to follow and attack the player and after each zombie is killed a new zombie appears until the nest is completely empty. Once the nest is emptied the player can go and destroy that nest and move on to find the remaining nest in the city. The main objective of the game is to kill all the zombies in the city including their leader, destroy their nest and take the city back from their grasp.

Folio Documentation

For this week’s folio 1 documentation, I have created a flowchart for a game idea that I might work on in Folio 2 of the AGI Studio 1. By creating a flowchart, I tried to show the basic idea of, how the game is supposed to play and what are to be considered when designing this game. This flowchart covers almost all the steps that the player might take in the game, which makes it easier for me as a developer to try and cover everything while designing the game. Creating a flowchart is a general practice that game designers go through, to layout the basic ideas of the game and try and cover basic mechanics that the game is going to have. Designing a flowchart also makes it easier for a game designer to explain the game and its objectives to other developers.
