For my minor project in Studio 2, I would like to work on a short film animatic out of reach it is a 3-minute comedy about Two strangers of two different size have a common problem neither of them can reach for a button my goal for this short was how to convey a story with no dialogue. I want to add some sound foley and music to it, I am hoping to try integrating a 3D character and 2D character all in maya for studio 2 I want to tighten up the animatic, redraw some shots and the characters designs, give more clarity between the characters and scenario.

Disney and Pixar Storyboard artist Toy Story, Bug’s life, Monsters Inc Ranft had worked at Pixar from their first film debut with toy story in 1995, he was very prolific for abilities to convey both dramatic and comedy scenes interwoven with each other to create likable characters and scenarios that reflected their emotional state.  

Lost and found Bradley Slabe won an AWGIE Award for top performance writing award.

Its about two little hand knitted animals where one tries to help other who is in danger. this a short that utilizes no dialogue and only character action.

Rewriting the screenplay and thumbnail shots

Searching for sound foley and music

Creating a 2D character model in maya based on sketches

Redrawing shots and replacing older designs of the characters with new ones

Editing music, sound and visuals

Finalizing the shots and audio for Out of Reach

Outcomes

The minor project is to get a finished animatic ready use for the short film Out of reach, that I will continue to develop further in the later weeks.
