I implemented visual code that makes the sakura flowers and resulting text appear only if the player goes to the sakura branch and picks the flowers. I did this by activating and deactivating the box colliders depending on the variable. I also tried to do this by making the change variable affect the text and other elements but it was very muddled. The box collider method is much cleaner and I think it makes more sense to me because I'm more of a visual person than logical.

Another method I could have used if all else failed was to shift into another view of the same scene as soon as the player picks the flowers. This method seemed very unprofessional and a waste of resources since all the elements in the scene will have to be doubled. I'm glad I didn't have to use this as my last resort.

DEVLOG

Mon 2.21 5/18 Used polygon collider instead of box collider. It’s super effective! Might work for the drag trigger too

Mon 6.45 5/17 Disable Set Collider for branching purposes

Functionality over aesthetics, I scream to myself as I design highlighted menu option buttons

Fri 5/22 Make the box collider inactive for narrative purposes

Sat 5/21 Put words in speech bubble instead of at the bottom?

Sun 5/22 Variables and If-Else if logic finally works! Implemented the basic functions of ending 1!!!
