Week 2

I never tried animating parkour or hand-to-hand combat before as I couldn’t even do a proper walk cycle without floating feet. Therefore, to improve my animating skills, I decided to practice animating more character movement.

The video is a compilation of my playblast animations. 

Reflection:

  1. The timing of my animation is still not accurate.
  2. As I was practicing pure techniques this week, there is no emotion presentation from the character. If included in practice, the outcome will be better.
  3. I need to be more cautious in the blocking stage so that I don’t have to adjust the pose a lot in the graph editor stage.
  4. The pose/ silhouette of the character could be better.
