Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

Context

At the beginning, I was struggling about what force means in this theme. It seems like there are a lot of people using coding to present their work in this theme. However, I did not have any idea or thought about this area. I have a studio for painting and I try to find the idea from here. Combined the last week's idea of water, I think I can play with the watercolor.

Method

The materials required in the video are 80 grams A4 paper, a cardboard, water, masking tape and paint set. The work is done by following the below step.

  • Cut the A4 paper in half and place the paper on the cardboard.

  • Choose colors and make the colors drop to paper.

  • Shake the cardboard in any direction.

Response

In this project, I really play with the “Force”. Based on the nature of the water, this method can provide interesting art works. By changing the direction of shaking, the color will present differently. Also, using different colors can provide different results. The components that make the artwork are the amount of water, the color, the shape of drop and the way of shaking.

Reflection

This week’s idea came really quick and playable. The only thing that does not work so well is that when I try the draw two straight lines and try to mix it together, it does not present like what I imagine. Others work pretty good and I like all the artworks I made through this method.
