In response to the theme 'tinkering', I made several quick clips where pictures of landscapes were distorted with effects on the 2d animation software TV paint.

By using effects such as 'twirl' and 'noise', I showed that movement can be created from still images. Similarly, many new versions of the same sequence of images could be created by altering the timing, spacing, etc.

Similar work has been produced by Refik Anadol, whose work ‘Quantum Memories’ explores the theme 'tinkering' as the result of his work emerged by him and his team continuously modifying the programing and chosen images so that the Artificial intelligence program/s were able to produce new animated versions of the original images that are surprising and seemingly spontaneous.
