This storyboard examines two ideas: one is 3 stage model(Syd Field[1]) of structures for storytelling; the other is using different shot types in storyboarding. By letting all characters only act in one location and the camera shots from different directions on each board, I am able to set up the story and make sure the audience has a dynamic visual experience. The plot is similar to the animation Negative Space[2], which has a setup stage at the beginning with a pushing forward camera from a very wide shot to a close-up shot. Then in the confrontation stage, the protagonist goes to reveal/build the relationship between the supporting characters.
By consultation with Susan, I reflected that I need to do practice in a simple way which means focusing on a few characters and rounding them up with reasonable details. So I decided to pick out this part from my previous albino hedgehog story and expand it in a more structured way.
