This project is a weekly response/assignment to course: Advanced Play Design at RMIT University Master of Animation, Games & Interctivity, 2022. Please let me know if you would prefer to not have your face/voice recorded, if you could answer some questions after the activity, I would greatly appreciate :D The theme for this project is 'Play & Self', as we are in a digital-dominated world, we might have already left traces, marks, illusions or deeply personal identity/info about ourselves on various social media platforms. This project aims to find out the accuracy of the information reflecting us as the concept of 'Self' from a digital platform, and how much it affects the audiences that are viewing them based on their relationship and identity towards the individual. ----Task -> Hello there! And Thank you for agreeing to participate this project!! THe main goal of this project is to find out as much as you can about facebook profile: 'Mohan Lei', but only through social media information (downloaded from facebook, data source 2019-03 to 2022-03 [Present] in DATA folder) Please choose an identity first: > Yourself ---if you want to view the information from another perspective instead, you can also choose to be > Stranger > Co-worker > Boss > Dating App matches To avoid it being a large scale narcissit project, you would also have the power to decide whether Mohan would be a good candidate based on the information you presented as > Newly-met person at bar > Potential Friend > Co-worker > Employee > Potential Date You will have [5minutes] to go through as much information as you want in the DATA folder, which contains the entire information from facebook about Mohan Lei, here are some tasks and questions that might help > Find out about the basic information (name, age, hometown etc) > Information categories that are interested to you specifically (what do you want to know?) > Information that are difficult to get from day to day conversation (what is not usually presented in real life?) > Information that are relavant based on the identity you chose (if you have chosen to view as a stranger/potential employer/friend etc) e.g. is it a good fit to ___? what should I do before I interact/hire him? ----Additional question > When you were browsing information, what is the one that you are least expected/completely not known before? > When you look for new connection either personal/career/academic wise, what is the info category that matters the most to you? > Based on your knowledge and previous information about the person you viewed, how different do you think it potraits in social media comparing to real life? - not different - somewhat different - kind of the same - not the same at all -hard to say > Why do you think there is a difference/no difference between these two identity? > Would you prefer to get to know someone via real life more or social media? > Lastly, anything you want to add to the topic? :D
