This week, I continued with my prototype in Godot and set about fixing previous movement bugs. I also added the ability of the player to scroll the camera in and out, giving them more control of the view. I imported new assets, once again came up against some headaches assigning textures and materials to objects, and also added collision to these objects, experimenting with different collision types. This was slightly fiddley work, but after referring to the documentation, I was able to get this working. I continued to tweak the movement code from last week and particularly the jump/fly to give the player a greater degree of control in the air - though I believe more work could be done here to add more weight to the fall and make the mechanic more interesting.
